As a new author I know that the most important thing is publicity and keeping myself in the public eye.
As an introvert with a full life outside of writing… that’s easier said than done.
My goal, truly, is to post once a week. Sounds like it should be easy, but when you’re a mom of three kids with a house and a big yard to take care of. It’s just not something that ends up possible.
So, I hope you’ll forgive me for not posting anything. And I hope my followers have enjoyed the character profiles. I will do more, I promise, life has a way of getting away from us. My days go by so fast that I’m left with a to-do list half full and I’m overly exhausted.
Of course, the one big thing that makes it hard to divert my time… is my new book. I am painfully close to completing the first draft. Once I get that final word on that, I can really start to do some real work and my goal at the latest is November.
I’ve been living in this ‘what’s more important’ game in terms of my goals as an author. On one hand, continuing to publicize ‘Love, Lies & Espionage’ is very important – I love my story. But then I’m also kind of the mindset that I’m only as good as my next book. If I want to be well-known just one book on my docket isn’t going to cut it.
So, thank you. And look out for more content from me – while I personally ponder how people do this for a living while claiming they also do two thousand other things. Cause I’m at a loss.
